4-Ingredient Drinks to Keep You in Ketosis


Whether it’s for Sunday brunch with the gals, Friday night with the pals, or just an after work pick-me-up, we’ve put together a few of our favorite keto drink recipes so that you can get tipsy without loading up on carbs. Better yet, they’re all super simple and need only 4 ingredients each! Read on for our keto-twists on classic concoctions:

Sangria (3 net carbs):

Get ready to feel like a proper adult with a tall glass of sangria to swoosh around. First, stir together 4 ounces of red wine, 4 ounces of vodka, and ¼ teaspoon of berry flavored zero-calorie water enhancer (such as Crystal Light’s Blueberry Raspberry flavoring or MiO’s Berry Blast). Then, pour the mixture over ice and add 4 ounces of club soda. Option: garnish with a slice of lemon or lime! 🍷 

Margarita (0 net carbs):

Snacking on some guac and celery sticks? This drink is the perfect pairing with those evening munchies! Along with ice, pour 2 tablespoons of vodka, 2 teaspoons of lime juice, ¼ teaspoon of orange extract, and 2 tablespoons of sugar-free syrup (ex. Da Vinci’s sugar-free vanilla syrup) into a cocktail shaker and then shake, shake away! Option: before pouring, run a lime around the rim of your glass and then dip in salt 🍸

Old Fashioned (0 net carbs):

If you’re thirsty for a throwback, this one’s an oldie but a goodie. Stir together 2 ounces of bourbon, 2 tablespoons of sugar-free vanilla syrup, and 4 drops of orange flavored zero-calorie water enhancer. Pour the drink over ice, and top it off with 1-2 ounces of club soda. Option: if you want to get reeeal fancy with this, start off by muddling 1-inch of vanilla bean and 1-inch of orange peel into the bottom of your glass 🥃

Mojito (3 net carbs):

Crisp and clear, a mojito is the summertime refresher. Muddle (*aka, crush) 10 mint leaves in the bottom of a glass with a muddler. Add in 1 ounce of lime juice, 1 teaspoon of powdered erythritol, 2 ounces of white rum, and 2 ounces of club soda. Stir to combine, sip to enjoy—voilá!  *Option: if you don’t have a muddler on-hand, use the end of a wooden spoon or rolling pin instead 🌿

Moscow Mule (0 net carbs):

Have a cute copper mug you’ve been itching to use? Even if you don’t, a Moscow Mule is sure to jazz up any cup. Directly in your cup, stir together 1 cup of sugar-free ginger beer (ex. Zevia’s zero calorie mixer), 2 ounces of vodka, 1 tablespoon of lime juice, and a handful of ice. Option: top with mint or raspberries 🍻

Gin & Tonic (0 net carbs):

Face it, everyone needs some G&T in their lives. It’s that drink that tastes slightly like alcohol—but also kind of just like fizzy soda? We’re here for it! Pour 1.5 ounces of gin, 1.5 ounces of diet tonic water, and 1 ounce of club soda over ice. Top with a lime slice or a few drops of lime juice. Option: use lemon instead! 🍋
